If the media would do their job, the Ds would would have no choice.
Throw in McConnell and a few other Rs to that starting line up. It begins and ends with the media asking questions and investigating. That would force both parties to magically reform. That includes the sports media. The NFL with their diversity and injustice hoodies and hats could easily be challenged and debunked by the sports media, but, it's just one incestuous relationship. Isn't it?

From the MSM. If you think about it, the MSM has a huge impact in getting Dems elected, especially President. They aren’t going to come down too hard on the people they helped get elected. Great journalism and ethics has gone out the door. I get that journalists are liberal by nature but they need to check their biases at the door. Today, if a story hurts their side, meaning the Dems, they won’t report on such story unless they have to or spend little time as possible on such stories. And they can spin and lie to hurt Republicans because in their minds, if the ends justify the means, they don’t care what rules or ethics are violated if it helps them get the result they want. There’s really no accountability with the media and they’ve been complicit with many false stories or narratives in an attempt to hurt the Republicans. When they correct stories, it’s a quick blip buried pages down. It’s also sickening these days that what used to be respected news outlets are constantly correcting stories and funny how most of the time it’s always one sided. A good and fair media is the only thing that can keep the government from abusing power and being corrupt. If the pendulum doesn’t swing back, we are in trouble. You are seeing the shit now in front of our own eyes. It’s bad, but at least there’s been more pushback from Americans who in large part don’t trust the media and rightfully so.
