fdr tried to do it when he wasn't getting his way with his "new deal" policies. ironically, it was shot down by a member of his own party, senator burton k. wheeler, d-mont. here's what he had to say about this tactic:
When Roosevelt attempted to pack the court, a prominent member of his own party helped lead the successful fight to defeat it, the Foundation for Economic Education’s website says.
Sen. Burton K. Wheeler, D-Mont., declared, in part, "Create now a political court to echo the ideas of the executive and you have created a weapon."
He continued, "A weapon which, in the hands of another president in times of war or other hysteria, could well be an instrument of destruction."
"A weapon that can cut down those guarantees of liberty written into your great document by the blood of your forefathers and that can extinguish your right of liberty, of speech, of thought, of action and of religion."
He continued, "A weapon whose use is only dictated by the conscience of the wielder."
we don't need the federal government pointing another weapon at our heads. they already have too many as it is.
You disagree with how M. Mcconnell used his Senate to get them on the court am I right?
And thank God he didn't.
The job he isn’t suited for is head of the DOJ. not that he is bad as head of the DOJ it just is his strong suit.
He would be a tremendous Justice.

is doing a far better job of it than most AG”s - clearly much better than Barr. Barr is and was a hack. All of Trumps AG’s were hacks and all susceptible to enforcing Trump insanity and far right politics.

And to further the conversation - who is calling for Biden to add Justices?
And to note; there have been 10 Justices on the high court at one time and as few as 5.
