I was a soph at ND for the first Super Bowl and have watched at least bits of very single one since then.
I'm numb to the whole experience, including the grandiose half time extravagandas and the increasingly humorlous advertisements.
But the "action" (sic) on the field hit an all time low this year when players were deliberately not scoring touchdowns.
I can't think of an equivalent stratergie in any other sport.

used their heads...meaning that KC removed all chance of Philly tying the score by playing the clock and timeouts...Mahomes deserves his MVP Award for not only gutting out the second half, but also leading every possession to a score...doesn't get much better than that...oh, and hats off to KC's play calling...two wide-open TDs with perfectly executed mis-directions.
Sorry you missed the game, Curly
As for all the "Hoopla", you don't have to watch any of it if you don't want to...easy solution.
Facetious the name is Curly!
But my bigger point was that sports itself gets tedious over time.
I don't think they ever punted in the 2nd half
Hope your sex life is more entertaining
It deflates the whole energy and flow of the game. It's like a boxer taking a dive.
Can there be some solution to this?
How about this? If a player refuses to score like last night, the other team gets possession of the ball. Conversely, if the defense refuses to tackle the ball carrier, they are penalized and also suffer a run off of time on the clock.
At times, don't guys at the free throw line miss their free throw on purpose? They will bounce it off the rim or backboard?
He was not pleased with the 22 game record overshadowing his era and unbeaten streak. He made the point that they never lost in four years. It was a great day though, seemed like every walk on got into the game. I forget his name but a walk on made an interception at the end of the game!
Should have asked Leon if Leahy would have had his guy run out of bounds against a much weaker opponent.
Jack Sacco was in the booth with Keith Jackson and Ara.
