Happy 56th birthday to Kenny Lofton
One of my all-time favorite Indians, up there with Bob Feller, Larry Doby, Andre Thornton, Omar Vizquel, Victor Martinez and Jose Ramirez. One of only two people to ever appear in both an NCAA basketball Final Four game and the World Series.
Absolutely criminal that he was dropped from HOF ballots after only one year, when he only received a handful of votes. He’s a marginal HOFer, but he deserved more consideration. Unfortunately for him, he played during the heart of the Selig-Fehr Steriod Era so he gets overshadowed.

Had him with Phils for a yr,good ballplayer,
Solid hitter.
The case could be made he was the best all-around player in baseball for a year or two. Like many
others, however, he doesn't deserve to be in the HOF.
