Now the media is peddling "the weak ruble" story to dangle false hope as Biden asks for another 25B

for Ukraine. Tell Zelensky to settle now before the money dries up.

Yes the ruble is weak, but no, it will not result in a regime change with different views. It will not end this war.

If a weak ruble leads to a swifter end to this war then I'm all for it, but I agree with you that

it won't. Meanwhile, a couple of days ago, the chief of staff to the NATO Secretary General floated the idea that Ukraine could cede territory in exchange for NATO membership, which won't happen of course, because Russia won't do that deal. But the key thing is that NATO is looking for the exit door on this war, which is a sign that NATO finally recognizes that Ukraine can't "win," meaning it can't move Russia back to the old border.

Ronald Regan is smiling in heaven as Putin is terrified to eat anything.

It took almost 5 years and trillions and of dollars and an ocean of US blood to defeat his predecessor in the last century.

THIS IS A BARGAIN!

The Ruble at $.01 not so much.

1. Russian Military industrial complex (MIC) beat NATO MIC badly. NATO arsenal will be exhausted

by early 2024. Now even Azerbaijan and south Korea are forced to send weapons with US promise to sell them new weapons later to make up their inventory.

It's not surprise. On paper Russian MIC capacity is 3 times of NATO's. Unlike beginning of the war, now all Russian heavy artilleries are guided. Its drone Lancet, I last checked, production of May this year is 7 times of May last year. And Lancet now is not just used to attack important targets, it is widely used to attack tanks and armors. Lancet has become legendary weapon from this war and will sell a lot after the war.

Two other smaller drones, Judgement Day and Vampire, Russian troop use them like they are free. Saw a video that shows, about only 5 or 6 Ukrainians hid in the trench. The first Vampire missed them by hitting their rear end, the second missed too, hitting their front end. Then, the 3rd, the 4th...total 7 vampires were used to finish this group of Ukrainians. This is truly modern warfare. NATO military- industrial complex can't compete with Russia's regardless of military achievement.

2. Ukraine is beginning to use its reserves. That means Russia's counterattack is coming soon. Absorbing punches at first, then fighting back, it's Russia's hundreds years tradition. Watch out, the northern front, Lyman.

Another interesting fact is they now know how to jam our GPS on the Himars

which knowledge is likely now with China and which is why we won't send Atacams (spelling) missiles and the elite version of the Abrams tanks, because we don't want them reverse engineered too.

Our weapons are not as good as advertised.

I sense an appropriation for an anti-GPS-jamming missile (AGPSRM?).

Maybe GPSARM is easier to pronounce.

Those jammers have to be bright as the sun to a properly calibrated sensor suite.

Not likely the counteroffensive is going to produce a big breakthrough at this point. It recovered about 100 square miles so far, which is not much.

Both sides need to get to the point that they are ready to make a deal. Neither is there yet - but both are closer.

Read recently that the Russians are firing 60,000 artillery rounds a day. That’s an amazing number. This is still a very high intensity war.

Also, the ruble is crashing. Internal pressure on Putin is going to grow.

Quest was posting earlier about how important it is to enforce the law, so I'm sure he wants to close the border.

We've wasted 150bn in far worse ways...multiple times, every year. Wish we could stop it, but neither party will stop it.

No guarantee that does not embolden Putin.

Although, one would think his bloody nose might have humbled him a bit. If Hitler had had to expend half his forces to take over part of Czechoslovakia, he might have thought twice about other conquests. Then again, weak nations nearby can be tempting....if we give up Ukraine, goodbye Georgia and others. We can argue about whether we should care about those other peoples or not.
