The flood will continue unabated and will grow as a campaign issue unless Joe shuts it down.
This will be bigger than abortion, which is essentially available everywhere.

and then make sure we are able to vet 11M MORE immigrants over the next few years in order to backfill the losses of Baby Boomers. Let's get real, people...

this country...note that we have distinct categories for special skills, etc...as well as those for farming, construction and other low skill jobs...
That should keep you occupied for a little while.

Simply put, I “tend” to disagree with you…your job is to defend your position…it’s interesting that you don’t…as in this case.

the U.S. Chamber of Commerce...they are on record, as I've mentioned several times, calling for 11M more...the Construction Industry uses LOTS of immigrant laborers...farms in Iowa need thousands of immigrants...same with CA and TX, as well as FLA...especially now that Baby Boomers are leaving the workforce....make any sense to you?
Legal immigration makes sense to the majority of Americans. You advocate illegal immigrants that are overwhelming our border officers and certainly has opens the door to terrorist.
Process all of them in a timely manner…I.e. months, not years…clean up the Asylum vetting process so that only those who truly qualify are accepted.
I’d recommend doing some Google searching to learn what JB’s admin is seeking…it’s all the right stuff for the right reasons.
Hopefully won't be drowned because of evil local law enforcement.
It would be insane to give this gang that can't shoot straight more money and it's beyond silly to say that funding is a cause.
It was one of the things Trump did well and was demonized for. Remember the false "horse whipping" story, just as an example. This is a problem that your folks created and refuse to be held accountable for.
Your people assigned Kamala as the border czar (and she didn't do a damn thing), your people sued to remove the temporary barriers, your people, the president himself called for a surge to the border. And all of the sanctuary city folks, your people, are now whining about having to feed, house and provide services for immigrants. They should apologize to Texas and Arizona and the other border states and come to the table hat in hand and say "okay, we were wrong. We now see the full scope of the problem and are ready to work together to solve it.". But they won't do that, anymore than you will, because that is just not who they are.
The border crisis shouldn't be political, but who made it so?
...also, his "Build the Wall" slogan turned out to be only that...and a means of lining his and Steve Bannon's pockets with donations from gullible MAGA types.
I'll keep saying it...our border is a mess because of strife w/in many countries...and Mexican cartels taking advantage of it. We'll never fix the situation unless we devote more resources to it...there's NO FREE LUNCH here...Congress needs to fund more border patrol officers, judges, facilities, etc...AND...agree on policy changes (e.g. new rules for Asylum seekers)...then make sure ALL States participate in the reception of vetted immigrants...at least 11M more over the next several years.
The Biden administration sees the whole problem and has a solid plan of action...the GOP just has a meme..."Open Borders"...which they use to gather votes...that's it.
Meanwhile, states like Texas have plenty of undocumented immigrants working for businesses there under virtual slave conditions...as reported by the Texas Tribune...they have zero interest in fixing the situation and then losing profits.
Just like I've been saying we need to redirect our foreign policy and military strategies to stop slavery.
Solving the problem at the source means pulling our businesses out of China, letting Europe and the Middle East fend for themselves for the most part, and focusing on investing in the Western Hemisphere. But when I bring this up, I inevitably get: "what, are you going to invade Mexico?!?!". Well, first of all we don't seem to have an issue invading countries on the other side of the globe, so suggesting that should be off the table is silly given recent history. We've also waged war against cartels in the past, so that wouldn't be unprecedented either. But the difference would be that we would use aid and support to root out corruption and reform their governments, industries and economies.
The border with Mexico should be like the border with Canada. Mexico, Central and South America should be our allies and great places to take vacations to.
But, none of that changes the fact that it has been an unmitigated disaster by the Biden administration that Joe himself invited.
basically..."It's Complicated"...but this excerpt goes in the opposite direction you seem to advise...

Of course, the United States is not the only liberal society that faces this dilemma. The economic need for openness versus the political and legal pressures for a closed society are what I call the “liberal paradox.” Dynamic economies need immigrant labor, and open societies are stronger than closed societies. But openness comes with a price. We must be willing to grant foreign workers and their families a basic package of human and civil rights that enables them to flourish, settle, and become full members of our society.

And you refuse to address the crisis aspect. I don't care why you think we need to have immigration because where you're wrong, like your bullshit about Iowa farmers, you're obstinate and where you're right, we probably already agree. So, there's no point in going down your rabbit hole.
there are unique crises in our hemisphere, plus stronger cartels than ever before causing these huge surges…only more resources and funding will allow us to control it . We are a nation of laws and Biden is following them.
Right now, it’s my opinion that the GOP a) doesn’t want any immigrants and b) is milking this crisis for political advantage.

ue, and the US will become another historic empire that will be studied on a&e and the history channel.
And the voters who live in and near urban areas — that is the voters who have the most exposure to immigrants— and who recognize diversity as our strength— overwhelmingly vote Democrat.
Those voters who have less or negligible exposure to immigrants— who fear the unknown — and are more vulnerable to swallow up hateful rhetoric— vote Republican.
Jesus would vote Democrat.
border and all the issues that come with it. I know you see them a future clients but most of America doesn't like the illegals. Even, the smart people in blue states.

We need a breather to allow the recent imigrants to undergo the process.
The children will become assimilated as they go to school, if the liberals will allow it to happen naturally. But many of the adults never will. As an example, my great grandmother emigrated as a teenager and she never learned to speak English nor adopt much of American culture. In the European immigrations, people tended to settle with people from their country of origin. This is why even today you see Bohemian, German, Norwegian, swedish, Italian, polish etc communities throughout the country. Assimilation happens to a degree, but it takes generations.
ly, etc.
It's the reason Mexico isn't going to do anything about it on their end, it's good for their economy because a lot.of the money is sent back.
And conservatives should embrace the migrants, they tend to be family values sorts, many of them Catholics.
Americans. Why do you think they are so lazy in actually becoming Americans?

Most of them work hard in donkey jobs to give their families and the next generation a better life.
The vast majority of the Hispanic, South Asian, and African immigrants are very culturally conservative.
Xenophobic, ignorant arseholes like you have been around forever.
immigrants culminating in restrictions and outright bans in the 1920’s. Before that it was the Irish Catholic immigrants.
The Klan in particular was extremely anti immigrant and anti Catholic. Its base was in Southern Indiana which was really Kentucky and they controlled the state. They fought a battle with ND students in the streets of SB in 1924 (the year of the 4 horsemen) when they wanted to hold one of their klavern rallies there.
Our record on accepting and assimilating immigrants wasn’t that great.
The fact that we are the most culturally mixed society on the planet is a source of our strength and our pride.
But it takes work and patience to get past natural bigotry... as you pointed out.
Now all the descendants of those Southern and Eastern European Catholics are mainstream AND are the ones most anxious about a sudden invasion by millions.
Someday the same will be true of our more recent immigrants... unless we lose our freedoms to a one party state.
Willy nilly letting in millions of folks from vastly different cultural backgrounds is like mixing volatile chemicals.
But what's far far more troubling is that the Dems are cynically flooding us with millions who have never really lived in a functioning democracy just to pad their vote totals.
THIS IS A GENUINE THREAT TO OUR DEMOCRACY!
This myth of assimilation is just that. These new people for the most part just want the same thing and they work a hell of a lot harder than our nativists do.
