25th Amendment call has been made. (Remember how liberally the Dems were willing to apply the 25th against Trump? They are so quiet right now).
If he is not competent enough to stand trial for illegally obtaining and mishandling secret documents, he is not competent to be the POTUS. It is quite simple.
Good luck to the libs who are trying to get people to read 350 pages of spin to justify not charging him like they did Trump when what Biden did was much worse despite being treated much better.

No way that the dem machine will allow him to stay in the race….
They are just beginning the strategy for letting him finish his term without running again. No one can possibly believe he would be able to finish a second term.

Cuz SC thinks that it'll be too hard to prove his mental competence to jury which is needed for
establishing the element of willfulness. SC also used as a reason not to pursue that the trial will be in a few years and that Biden will be "well into his 80's" which clearly acknowledges a progressive mental decline is occurring that they witnessed. SC essentially said "His memory is markedly affected now - he can't even remember things important to him like when his son died or when he was VP, or who his allies are (thought his ally Eikenberry (sp?) was an enemy) now, just imagine how bad this will be by the time we reach trial! A jury will just see a confused old man and won't send him to prison".
So really, it is not an important distinction since it has the same implication.
PS - In those same few years down the road, when the SC doesn't think a jury will believe that Biden is aware enough to meet the component of willfulness, Joe Biden will be POTUS if he wins in '24. In such a scenario, we will have an unelected person(s) running our country in his stead behind a curtain - will have lost our democracy because our voters will not have chosen our leader - if we haven't already.
Why put him out there?
This press conference was completely unnecessary. He won the day. The press secretary could deflect any questions tomorrow. Craft talking points for the Sunday shows and before the Super Bowl the story is over.
Bizarre he was ever put out there. The most uncomfortable presidential appearance I can recall, including Clinton’s Lewinsky stuff.
I think the Dem machine wants him out. It would be too hard to Vince Foster or Epstein him.

The fact of the matter is that JB and his administration are doing their jobs very well and

JB didn't hide...he stepped up and faced reporters...good for him...and as for his performance, it's
a matter of perception...for instance, I've seen comments that Joe had no idea when his son died, which is pure venom on the part of those who traffic it...every decent person understands...as Joe noted...that the family holds a memorial for Beau. No father forgets the passing of their children and anyone who dares question that is a disturbed individual. That's just one example of the over-the-top attempts to score cheap political talking points.
After watching the entire briefing, JB pushed back on false narratives and shared coherently put together responses to all questions...obviously, without any cue cards, He and his administration are continuing to successfully deal with numerous challenges both domestically, with passing needed bipartisan legislation, while crafting excellent bills that have yet to be fully approved...as well as strengthening the U.S. position throughout the world...in short, JB and his staff are doing their jobs.
