Joe was right on Afghanistan when he was VP.
This is why he kept those classified documents. Of course the execution of the pullout was an unmitigated disaster that it's hard to imagine how it could have been worse.
But leaving Afghanistan was the right choice.

equipment out...in spite of incredible difficulties (e.g. dramatically reduced troop count) he was able to secure an additional 4 mo's to get over 180,000 Afghanis, who had helped save American lives, OUT of there...something that his predecessor tried to keep from happening.
The Afghan government was totally corrupted and headed for the hills, along with the military, at the very end...not JB's doing...and the result was a sole ISIS suicide bomber that the Pentagon found could not have been prevented.
JB's rescue of so many who had stood by us deserves accolades...not the derision that Trump deserves for creating such a challenge.
