Rising interest payments are a problem. No question.
But a threat to democracy? C'mon.

On brand. You’re not good with what is and what isn’t a threat to democracy.

We'll just chalk it up as another inverse Chris.
I also enjoy it when you resort to insults because you have no substance.
This is an all time example: "Everyone who says we should shoot down the balloon, won't say how". Well...

If it were true, you might think that it would have had some sort of measurable effect by now.
It's a problem, but it is also easily exaggerated by those who don't understand that a country is not a business or a household.
You're a partisan hack.

Facts are in, it is no longer an "exaggerated problem". And the people like Ned and I who have been talking about it for 20 years were right. It's now a major problem. When service on the debt exceeds military spending, that's a major problem. When neither party has any plans to deal with it and it's grown to a level that is an existential threat, it's a major problem.
Might be a problem if a real war starts.
Interestingly, by your logic ("it has been manageable, so it will always be manageable"), Trump is not a threat to Democracy because he hasn't done anything yet to successfully destroy democracy.
