Art Garfunkel at Central Park performing "Bridge" is one for the ages. Artists writing their own music. Performing their own music. You throw in Carole King, James Taylor, Nick Drake, Moody Blues and on and on. Underground radio and college stations were the place to get away from the AM pop hits (not that there was anything wrong with that) and settle into some extended versions of well known songs, unknown artists, and deep tracks.
