Plus baseball is back.
Bring it on! USA!

Woops, seems like I am echoing some of Chris’s thoughts below. Hadn’t read it before.

I enjoy watching weird sports every four years. As a general rule, I think that any sport for which the Olympics are not the biggest event (soccer, basketball, baseball, golf, etc.) are not the best events to hold.
And my guess is that you have never watched Olympic badminton, which is awesome. And handball is pretty cool too.
court should be bigger.
I played a lot of handball in my day. I was darned good at it.

Long Island college..
Enjoy European Handball however U.S. Olympic coverage usually shows little of it because it's not popular here.
It's a shame it's not covered here even when on in the Olympics.

I threw badminton in there purely for the sake of imagery. I enjoy playing it.
The BMX and other rad/cool stuff is lame and obviously has no place in the Olympics.
Baseball in the Olympics is obviously a joke.
Three days, baby.

For one thing, its not the game we think of with one or more walls, it's a team game. I think it's 6 or 7 players to a side and they attempt to throw the ball into the goal. There are rules on how many steps one can take with the ball, etc.

BMX is like, totally rad.
When I see the first shuttlecock drop, my hearts skips a beat, too.
You know, there have been some fine, fat surfers over the years. Will they have any fat surfers in the "Olympics" this year? Better question, will anyone beyond you and Chris be watching?
Ur hard training for naught

Is snowmobiling an Olympic sport, now? Back in the 80s, a middle-aged couple on the local yokel news up here explained that their training regimen for marathon snowmobiling was to sit in their wooden kitchen chairs for extended periods of time. The downside was that this practice ended up adding weight to their sleds.
The Olympics are a joke. Little wonder fewer and fewer pay attention to them. Will they be around in a century? I have my doubts.
I have very little interest. I don't care about their personal stories. I don't admire, but rather feel sad for the athletes that spend so much time perfecting a skill that has little or no value.
But I'm an asshole.
I feel more comfortable when your opinions differ from mine.
In the same way I wouldn't want David Duke to start liking ND or the Mets.
Thus I hate whatever this thing is that does wakeboarding, rock climbing, tai chi, the ribbon-waving thing, golf, yet gets rid of, and I'm not making this up, Greco-Roman wrestling. I mean, that's like taking out the Big Green Monster and still calling it "Fenway Park," or taking the quasi-meat in your treasured hamburger and still calling it the "Whopper."
But I get it, Chris. New is better! Like, totally, like, awesome!
You're a NY Mets, fan, Chris? How did that happen. Wait, did you start rooting from them in '86?
And Greco-Roman wrestling is back, don’t you worry.
I like to watch the new sports...let’s try em out, see how they are. Keeps things fun.
Generally speaking, I don’t like the ones that require judges. That’s just me.
When did they bring back Greco-Roman?

who make it into the water versus stuff on a rock. No judges needed. Heck, you can cannonball it, if you wish. This gives the Egyptians a chance to win something.

Gonna be awfully rough on Simone Biles when he identifies as a woman...
