"As I said on remember this, Saturday, we condemn in the strongest possible terms this egregious display of hatred, bigotry and violence. It has no place in America."
'The driver of the car is a murderer, and what he did was a horrible, horrible, inexcusable thing."
"And you had, you had a group on one side that was bad. And you had a group on the other side that was also very violent."
"I’ve condemned many different groups, but not all of those people were neo-Nazis, believe me."
"I’m not talking about the neo-Nazis and the white nationalists, because they should be condemned totally."
summary which doesn't include some of his latest pearls...like "poisoning the blood of America"...the man is disgusting...why is it so hard for you to see that.

...from the attached article on Senator Byrd...
------------------
In a 2001 interview, Byrd said of race relations:
“They’re much, much better than they’ve ever been in my lifetime … I think we talk about race too much. I think those problems are largely behind us. I just think we talk so much about it that we create somewhat of an illusion. I think we try to have good will. My old mom told me, ‘Robert, you can’t go to Heaven if you hate anybody.’ We practice that.”
Robert Byrd evolved, changing for the good. He apologized for his intolerant past.
In the end, the political legacy of Robert Byrd went from admitting his former membership in the KKK to winning the accolades of the NAACP. In 2005, Byrd sponsored a bill allocating an additional $10 million for the Martin Luther King Jr. National Memorial in Washington, D.C.
When Byrd died, in 2010, the NAACP released a statement saying that over the course of his life he “became a champion for civil rights and liberties” and “came to consistently support the NAACP civil rights agenda.”
Although his name is usually used with the terms KKK and racist, should we not look to where his beliefs evolved? He acknowledged and repented. “For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.”
-----------------
JB had good reason to befriend Sen. Byrd...and it's certainly possible that he was an influence in Byrd's "conversion".
If you investigate and read more, using Critical Thinking, you'll have a much better chance of finding the truth...hopefully, this is a learning experience for you.

Thurmond was a member of the Democratic Party until 1964 when he joined the Republican Party for the remainder of his legislative career. He also ran for president in 1948 as the Dixiecrat candidate, receiving over a million votes and winning four states.
You have already stated the Dixiecrats were racists.
You are a certified fool.
to correct their previous racist faults...good reasons for Biden to eulogize them...it's all documented...including quotes from both men.
btw, throughout all of this, Joe Biden has never wavered in his support for Civil Rights...
Where do you stand on Civil Rights?
No further response is necessary. You are inane.
Have the last say. The cherry on your bullshit sundae.

Strom Thurmond?" and you would have found numerous articles explaining it...like the one attached from Greenville, SC...
....here is an excerpt from the attached article...
-------------------
The Strom Thurmond who left Congress, Biden said, was not the same man who entered it.
"By the time he resigned, he had the highest percentage of African-Americans working in his office of United States senator," Biden said. "He voted for the reauthorization of the Voting Rights Act. He had, in my view, I believe, changed."
------------------
Bottom Line...like Sen. Byrd...to some degree...Sen. Thurmond changed and began to support Civil Rights...that is what Biden eulogized, when asked by Thurmond's wife to speak at his funeral...i.e. insinuating that Joe Biden has, or ever had, a scintilla of racism is patently false...and one more example of why Critical Thinking is so important.

Or do you think ALL people who were there to show support for keeping their history were racists who wanted to run over people, and all who were protesting to tear down the statues were virtuous?
You apply your silly exact word criteria to our imprecise language in one direction, but then not in the other direction. Liberalism Rule #2 - The rules are for thee, and not me.

You are in some serious denial there! Wow!
Biden also claimed that his Uncle was shot down which is false…he crashed, and Biden claimed that it was “in New Guinea which is also false….he crashed nose down, violently into the open ocean many miles from the shore, and no one surfaced after the crash.
I’d flunk you for this disingenuous defense.
It is astounding what you hear in Trump’s words, and don’t hear in Biden’s words.
Tell me your explanation of Joe’s most recent delusional tale, and try to keep it in the context of all of his others….and the fact that he told the same story with the same meaning within the same day at another campaign site.
(no message)
Look, it was a ridiculous thing to say. But he did not say that his uncle was eaten by cannibals.
(no message)
He didn’t technically say those exact words, he merely said words that clearly indicate it.
THIS….THIS….is why I call you a concrete thinker who tries to hide within small-minded technicalities concerning words and definitions. You are truly a child of the Bill Clinton “Depends on what the definition of the word “is” is”.
You go ahead and try to salve your intellect with this argument as the rest of the world takes him exactly at his intended meaning which reveals his delusional dementia. And before you stupidly try to claim that it is just me being ridiculous, remember that this made world news…..and they all took it exactly the same way that I did.
Your comment “are they scavenger cannibals” reveals a different attempted deception on your part to defend the indefensible. Your trying to imply that he died in the crash, so how could cannibals eat him….you want US to have to explain the logic of Joe’s delusion or else you refuse to believe he meant it!
Answers:
1)in reality, Biden’s uncle didn’t die crashing on New Guinea….that was another Biden lie, he crashed at sea.
Maybe they were s pirate cannibals…..you will have to check with Joe on that.
2) Biden said they didn’t recover his body because of cannibals….he made no reference to being eaten alive or dead. It is clearly implied by Biden that the body wasn’t recovered because it was eaten by cannibals. So you will have to ask Joe that question about whether Brosee was alive or dead when they ate him in his delusion.
"And he got shot down in New Guinea, and they never found the body because there used to be − there were a lot of cannibals − for real − in that part of New Guinea.”
A critic of Biden’s would infer that he meant his uncle was eaten by cannibals.
He also could have meant that no one went to look for his body because there were cannibals there.
We know what you will think, so there is no point in discussing it further.
…..maybe because the military knew that there were cannibals, they just assumed that the body was eaten so they didn’t look”
That’s where you’re at now?! A cowardly or inept military, neither of which is true?!
Yet you intentionally overlook that the uncle was not shot down at all, and that he crashed violently, nose first far out to sea with no one surfacing after the crash seen by other planes. Joe lied twice in his story before getting to the cool part about the cannibals, and here you want us to believe that he didn’t lie again because he meant something else much, much, much less likely?!
Maybe he meant just exactly what he clearly implied twice in the same day, dipshit. You should slink away now unless you can come up with a good theory about pirate cannibals that can account for the crash at sea.

You're trying so hard to create a "gotcha moment" that was DOA from the start.
Zzzzzzzzzzzzz. Low energy.
Although DOA is a good way to describe his appearance.
