Uncle "Bozo" Finnegan is not the only military relative Biden has bold-faced-lied about.
During a town hall event in New Castle, Del., in December 2022, Biden recounted a story about trying to award his uncle, Frank Biden, a Purple Heart for service in WWII, according to PolitiFact, a fact-checking website.
Biden said that he attempted to give his uncle, now dead, the honor in 2008, while he was vice president, but that his uncle refused the medal out of respect for comrades who had died. Biden was elected vice president in 2008, but didn’t take office until 2009. And FactCheck.org reports that Frank Biden died in 1999.

There's no denying that JB embellishes stories from time to time, but trying to create an
equivalence with what Trump is doing is in no way justified. JB's errors hurt no one...at all...but Trump's "Big Lie" ended up killing DC Police Officers and Ashley Babbitt, plus it has ruined hundreds of his followers lives who are now convicted felons serving time in prison. Moreover, Trump's lie continues to threaten the very foundation of our democracy.
JB's faux pas's aren't in the same universe as Trump's conscious efforts to deceive and harm others.
