This was simply an attempt to control the narrative to limit political damage for the incompetence of the Afghanistan Withdrawal.
Note that the military personnel who know the truth fear reprisal.
As usual, just asinine partisan bilge.

These govt agencies have all been caught specifically being used for political advantage by the Biden WH:
DOJ
FBI
IRS
Office of Congressional Records (OCR)
CDC
FDA
NIH
DOE
Department of Defense
DHS
Immigration
FTC
and....Concrete94 is stuck on my saying that "all of the govt agencies" have been politicized when not every single on has been proven yet. Sure, the massive number is suggestive, but the statement that they all have been politicized (which he knows was intended representatively rather than literally) cannot be PROVEN at this time.
And he uses this as a smokescreen to NOT address the specific question here for which he has no defense for Biden whom he reflexively wants to defend....because of politics.
None of those have been politicized, except in your fevered imagination.
Especially in light of so many other examples in the past three years.
When strange things happen which make no sense in your world view, you need to question your world view...........but your partisanship prevents that.
And of course, you accuse me of exactly that which inhibits you from understanding this.
You are perhaps the most consistent repeat offender of Liberalism Rule #1 that I have ever met.
“When the natural road towards human fulfilment is blocked, human beings retreat into themselves, become involved in themselves, and try to create inwardly that world which some evil fate has denied them externally. If you cannot obtain from the world that which you really desire, you must teach yourself not to want it.If you cannot get what you want, you must teach yourself to want what you can get. This is a very frequent form of spiritual retreat in depth, into a kind of Inner Citadel, in which you try to lock yourself up against all the fearful ills of the world.”
It's a play off of a Marcus Aurelius concept I believe.

There’s no obvious advantage to be gained from lying about it…might just be a mistake.
But it’s weird, no question.
But per the article there were not one, but two investigations...
against the Taliban, with many thousands of them risking their own lives to save Americans...as vocally testified to by many U.S. troops. Trump's "Deal" with the Taliban was for a May 1 exit by the U.S. with NO provisions for the evacuation of ANY Afghanis...in fact, his admin did all they could during their entire term in office to stonewall Special Visa applications...a despicable denial of true American values and one that would have done great harm to our current and future foreign relations had it not been for actions taken by the incoming Biden administration.
Immediately on taking office, the Biden administration started taking away the roadblocks to Special Visas and worked with other nations to have them join us in finding ways to evacuate as many Afghanis as possible...at the same time, the admin negotiated a more favorable exit date for the August/September timeframe, ultimately allowing the evacuation of over 180,000 Afghanis. The unfortunate final days and the tragic Abbey Gate loss of life was the result of a total collapse of Afghani military security, and a woefully small contingent of U.S. forces (2,500 total) negotiated by Donald Trump...along with increased ISIS forces.
The Biden admin's "fault" was in trying to save as many Afghanis as possible...along with far flung U.S. citizens...in the midst of a chaotic situation with very limited time. Not unlike the evacuations from Vietnam...it's hard to imagine a perfectly clean scenario.
This whole "Afghanistan" issue has become a trope for Trump and the GOP to hide their poor planning and total lack of concern for others who risked their lives to save Americans.

value of this report?...that in the chaos of a suicide bombing some rifle fire took place as well and someone missed it in a review?...that we can no longer trust our Military Leaders to protect the USA?...what's the lesson to be learned?
"I don't know" is a perfectly acceptable response.
from the linked ProPublica article this is just a rehash of old news...possibly to extract the last drop of 'Afghanistan' criticism...but who knows.

Seemed rushed and the fact that the Afghans didn’t have the balls to fight didn’t help. Definitely a black eye for the administration.

Was forced to fight his Vietnam against VD according to his own words. But he wasn’t a loser or sucker, was he?
I despise him most when his grubby little fingers and arms embrace the flag that so many served to protect and some died for.
This is why we have a trust crisis.

I pay some kid of consequence. These people just shrug it off and get a high paying job elsewhere. Then they sit in from of Congress and half the reps kiss their asses and make it look like they did something right.
The sad part about this, the decisions made cost American their lives and nothing happened to the people who made them.
