FIFTY years ago Gary Becker, a Nobel prize-winning economist, advanced an argument that all crime is economic and all criminals are rational. Becker’s seminal paper, “Crime and Punishment: An Economic Approach” posited that would-be criminals make a cost-benefit assessment of the likely rewards from breaking the law against the probability of being caught and punished. In Becker’s world of utility-maximising miscreants, places that have larger gaps between the poor (the would-be criminals) and the rich (the victims) will, all other things being equal, have higher crime.

The Biden/Democratic Party Tax Plan is not only good for our budget and debt concerns...but also for helping to decrease crime rates...as opposed to the GOP's focus on the Wealthiest Americans and disregard for the poorest.

There is a time lag.
But does that make it right?

The left's racist policies. Their anti-Jewish behavior. Their defund law enforcement policies. Their looting, arson, rioting, "peaceful protesting". Their soft on crime attitude. Their love of dictators. Their election interference and eliminating opponnents. Their war on parents. Tranny story hour. Destruction of women's athletics. Their love of starting conflicts and war. Their attack on religion. It all starts with abortion. Abortion with zero exceptions. Abortion with no parental notification. Infanticide. Ripping unborn little ones apart, limb by limb through abortion. Abortion in minority communities. This is the starting point for everything else in lib world.
the deaths and infertilities women suffered in states all over the country. Women are not going to let this happen again, and the GOP is setting itself up for continual election losses until they come to their senses and find common ground with a new version of Roe.

I am a freakonomics fan, abortion on demand! Because there's nothing worse than being born to an unfit mother in an unfit environment.
Low-income democrats, of course, are the problem. You people.
Destroy the family structure that humans evolved in and you get arrested development in myriad forms.
I like to see a study correlating poor folks coming from entact vs broken families and crime… and then another of rich families

And particularly black families.
seriously, what's your solution for citizens here or anywhere who are in poverty?
That is, if you actually believe that it's class that's the problem, not race, gender, etc
country...he just has a different way of dealing with it...based on MLK's successful approach, I doubt he's (CH) on the right track.
Coleman Hughes does, and if you're interested in equality, Coleman Hughes is the next MLK.
Be on the right side of history.

...his 'Everyone be nice to each other' message is laudable and desirable...but clearly not resonating with the millions of racists in this country. MLK's strategy of 'Non-Violent' but active opposition to racism is very much different from CH's.
Now, back to root causes of crime and poverty's impact...do you see the relationship?...and if so, should the populace do something about it in their own self-interest?

Just look at the US census data...the rapid change is striking.
I.e., creating incentives to have children out of wedlock, for example.

deeper and understand WHY there are so many single parent families...and growing. I submit that the root cause has a lot to do with economics and wealth inequality as brought out in the attached article.

citizens...especially when it comes to the 'engine' of economic success...i.e. Education...which is virtually free all the way through to the college level. Unfortunately, here in the U.S. college attendance has become nearly impossible for those at the lowest income strata, thus making their opportunities for upward mobility (and lower crime environments) very difficult to achieve.

Taking from the top to give to the bottom, doesn’t change the perspective of the bottom, it just makes the top mad.
If you wanna spend money, spend it on policing activities and stimulating the economy to create jobs.

And black poverty and crime stats.
Tax and spend on welfare is disproven decades over by data in this country.
