The moment you try to increase revenue (at the expense of the economy), Democrat voters will get more handouts. They are getting them now; they'll get more. Debt must be paid down with cuts first. Then we can talk about taxes.

Just dust off the Barry Obama bipartisan report on what needs to be done that got tossed in the circular file.
The government needs to show that it is trustworthy by cutting spending first. If it can't do that, then this country will die, and it isn't going to be a fun ride down.
