I hadn't seen the film in years, so I had to do a quick recap via plot summary, but this is an interesting adaptation (never read the book). I'm up to speed on the first 4 episodes, and as of now, I'll watch all 8.
I don't imagine they'll parrot the big reveal directly from the film or book, so I'm curious if anyone has an early whodunnit theory......
3 episodes in.
Had to issue a gag order for wife, who kept chiming in on Harrison Ford film version, reciting former cast members and plot differences.
Me: Any chance we can just watch and finish this production talk afterwards?
Very good. Norwegian actress playing Caroline is stunningly beautiful.
My guess is someone in law enforcement or DA’s Office is perpetrator. But who knows?
Rusty is a moron.
And his lawyer and former boss has a clear conflict of interst

Need to pick it up again.
I don't think they'll go the route of the film where the wife did it, since it would be unoriginal. I think the reveal is going to be that he did it. Guy is unstable, essentially stalked her, and there's no other evidence that points to anyone. They've thrown a whiff in some other directions and made us think that Tommy Molto is "the bad guy" out to get Sabich on some personal vendetta. They have the audience tentatively cheering for Sabich.
I think he snapped and did it. Maybe it was a manic episode and he only remembers the snippets he keeps dreaming about. And maybe he'll get acquitted. But I think that's what they'll do with the story.
Excellent show just like it better when Netflix dumps all shows as once. This old fashioned once a week model sucks.
Have you tried “Your Honor” on Netflix? Excellent as well.
If not, I won't spoil, but I think the boys are a red herring. Too obvious, and I think they'll be cleared.. I think the wife is a built-in red herring, since most of us know the film.
I suppose BOTH boys could be a interesting twist. But I think it will all circle back. We'll get surprised and see that Molto and Della aren't bad guys out to frame anyone - they just correctly followed the evidence.
And yes, I like the full season drop better than the weekly episodes. They are trying to make sure they don't give this stuff away to 7-day free trial subscribers.
3rd season which is immediate code for season 2 ends in cliff hanger.
Seemed pretty intense. My concern was whether it would be a story that they dragged out across unnecessary extra seasons. I may go back.
