If a person is vulnerable and refuses to get vaccinated it is his or her choice to assume the risk.
This nation could be at or near or herd immunity now. Instead we need to continue to treat this at significant cost and continue to worry about these mutations. Their risk is significantly reduced here if these morons would do the right thing.
P.S. I’m not talking about those with legit medical reasons not to get vaxxed.
I suppose I would rank the intelligent choices we have like this:
1) Take the vaccine.
2) Don't take the vaccine until approved as normal vaccines are approved.
I think both of those are "intelligent" in that there is a logical basis to support them. I would disagree with someone who put 2 before 1, but I don't think I would call them stupid. But, the further along we get without side effects, it becomes less risky to take the vaccine, so it becomes less intelligent to hold off on the vaccine.
I think it is stupid to take the vaccine, and then wear a cloth do-nothing mask, and preach against others who don't. That is stupid.
Our experts have been all over the map on these issues and contradict themselves every other day. There is no way I can KNIOW the truth. I have never been afraid of COVID even before I was vaccinated. I was also never afraid of the vaccine.
I’m asking if you really believe that not getting vaxxed is an intelligent choice from a public health perspective?
I suppose this might be my racist tendency but if I knew any white folk personally who were equally adamant on the issue I would not bring it up. Individuals are afraid of different things for different reasons. I am afraid of guns personally, but I don't worry about those who have them,
Can you just answer it? Do you believe it is an intelligent choice to refuse the vaccine?

to get the vaxx?
It’s pretty simple. Why the gymnastics to avoid it is a mystery.
Even Neddie gave a pretty clear and reasonable answer.

allow the virus opportunity to mutate and the more it mutates the possibility is there for the virus to
change significantly, enough for the vaccine to become irrelevant therefore starting a whole new
chain reaction of sickness. In other words, those who did the right thing by getting the vaccine would become victims
of the those who are selfish and refuse to be vaccinated.
Of course if we had a one world big brother government the planet could lock down until all health threats were vanquished.
there's quite a bit of difference between refusing to get an available vaccine and not being able to be vaccinated because it's unavailable.
Here in the US, it's available for all Americans - Most of the rest of the world is hoping to be vaccinated.

preventable. More importantly, these refusalists perpetuate the variants spreading and mutating. At some point the virus will mutate so as to be able to break through the current vax to again cause serious sickness and death among the vaxxed population. This all should be in the rear view mirror by now.

That would require a bit of intellectual integrity.
I can't imagine how another dire prediction by an expert-TV personality might turn out to be totally wrong.
I also say feck them. Not about race. About stupidity and politics.
You are getting wackier by the day.

This research was banned in the USA but he backed it in an unsecure lab in Communist China that has links to their military.
than appearing on CNN everyday, trying to salvage the little credibility he has.

Must have gotten positive news on what the media will be saying, if anything, about Wuhan.
