One of the articles quotes the police chief saying that the kid has the correct "mindset" to do this sort of thing. Must be one terrifying kid. Murdered the elderly victim, to whom he must be related, over a video game.

Can you possibly imagine how many of these cases might be prevented if we returned to an old tradition, namely that of potential suitors having to ask fathers for permission to see and marry their daughters? This guy would've set off so many alarm bells, you would've had to lock up dad to keep him from putting a stop to it.
