My own children (17 and 15) have reacted positively to time away from their phones and social media
Scott Galloway has been all over the podcast circuit talking about "The Anxious Generation".
Recently, my daughter had a 12 hour confirmation retreat where no phones were allowed, she came away from it saying it was a relief and she didn't miss it. She said it was refreshing to have everyone present.

Not surprising.
If I had to do the parenting thing again, I would treat the Internet as more dangerous than alcohol.
