The GOP’s problem this cycle is that it had no Pelosi or Obama who was willing to tell the party
leaders that Orange can’t be the nominee as he is the only one who could lose. Gutless wonders. Should have made a deal with him that he steps aside and the R prez then pardons him.
The greediest Rs embraced haters just to get more tax cuts. Greed & hate morphed into one -- Trump.

It's very hard to imagine ANY Republican (or ANY centrist!) overcoming the emerging demographics.

IMO, you're misreading Yeats...i.e. the Best of the GOP have no spine...and the Worst are full of
Passionate Intensity, and have a true Beast leading them.
