Many on this Board said in 2022 that Ukraine can't win a war of attrition. It's now 2024 and we've been proven right. Seems like there’s more risk to Zelensky. Trump may press him to commit to a peaceful resolution.
Zelensky obviously wants Trump to agree to ongoing funding, which he either won’t or may do on a conditional basis.
A peaceful resolution is Putin driven, only if Harris wins in November.
Trump is a Putin ally.
Trump doesn’t respect Ukraine, evidenced by Trump’s attempt to extort Zelenskyy in return for sullying Biden on a false narrative.
A meaningful resolution happens when Putin understands the United States and NATO continue to fully support Ukraine’s fight.

The last thing Trump needs is to appear to explicitly support a war criminal... especially with so many people of Ukranian descent living in Pennsylvania.
Zelensky will be putting on his best green camo shirt for that meeting. The shirts are evidence of

Now, that does not make the cause unjust. But it highlights the games he’s playing.
Trump should push him to settle for peace - perhaps with some losses. Biden’s inaction when it mattered and his green lighting of the invasion can’t be undone. Have to move forward.
