while Biden selected a proven professional in that field...(see attached Wiki Summary of FEMA Director, Deanne Criswell).

btw, here's an article describing the 'CV' of Bush's selection...

https://www.seattletimes.com/nation-world/nation/fema-leaders-background-was-in-law-horses/

...and an excerpt from the article...
-----------------
WASHINGTON — From failed Republican congressional candidate to ousted “czar” of an Arabian horse association, there was little in Michael Brown’s background to prepare him for the fury of Hurricane Katrina.

But as the head of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Brown now faces furious criticism of the federal response to the disaster that wiped out New Orleans and much of the Gulf Coast. He provoked some of it himself when he conceded that FEMA didn’t know that thousands of refugees were trapped at the New Orleans Convention Center without food or water until officials heard it on the news.

“He’s done a hell of a job, because I’m not aware of any Arabian horses being killed in this storm,” said Kate Hale, former Miami-Dade emergency-management chief. “The world that this man operated in and the focus of this work does not in any way translate to this. He does not have the experience.”

------------------

Actual Governance on behalf of American citizens is not a priority for the GOP...remember that when it comes time to vote...especially if you live in a state prone to suffering hurricanes, tornados or earthquakes.

assistance for the victims of Hurricane Helene...see linked Press Release.

You know, you could have just take a few seconds to search for articles related to the Biden admin's response to this natural disaster...but, true to form for the MAGA crowd...you could care less. This is why more and more Republicans are voting for Harris.

Sleepy sat in a beach chair doing nothing while the hurricane devastated FL, GA, NC, and TN. He said there was no more aid available when a reporter caught him shuffling along near his plane. Kamala pretended to get a "briefing" about the damage as she flew west for a Hollywood fundraiser. It is incredible that you try to defend this clown car administration. Complete losers. Can't wait to be rid of them.

political misinformation...listen to him as he notes that FEMA was already working with his state emergency people a couple of days BEFORE the hurricane struck...and that everything they needed from the federal government...i.e. Biden's administration...was being provided...and that JB himself was in direct contact. MAGAs like yourself are excess baggage and a boat anchor to American progress...will be a blessing when DJT finally has to experience accountability.

Biden, I am sure means well, but his execution of his plans always falls short of what Trump does.

It wasn't a dig other than I don't think he gets things done as well as Trump in an emergency.

Nobody gives Trump for getting the warp speed thing done in a time that Fauci thought was a pipe dream. He has reacted to natural crisis' more rapidly and actively than anyone I can remember. But, yes maybe I should not have brought that up now.

Thread Level: 6

Good of you to bring up "Warp Speed"...don't you wish DJT had "Warp Speeded" the warning about COVID

back in Jan. 2020, instead of purposely 'Downplaying' it and calling it a Dem hoax?...Don't you wish he had "Warp Speeded" the implementation of the 'Pandemic Preparedness Plan' that the previous administration had prepared for him so that we all would have had high quality and high quantities of PPE equipment (e.g. N95/KN95 Masks, and Ventilators) immediately available...instead of throwing it in the trash upon taking office?

In actuality, it was Dr. Fauci who Warp Speeded the necessary Phase 1 trials of Moderna's mRNA-1273 vaccine within two days of getting the genome of SARS-CoV-2 from China on Jan. 13, 2020...while Trump was 'busy' downplaying the virus and going on to say it would just go away by Easter...you remember all that, don't you?
