bipartisan Senate Bill they worked so hard on and still believe in...and which provides the necessary funding to secure the border and give legal recourse to shutting down the border should the number of immigrants showing up get too high for us to process effectively...problem addressed.
Now let's take a more strategic view...according to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, we need many millions more immigrants to maintain GDP growth in the future, due to the increasing retirements of Baby Boomers...and they are not solely from the top 1% of wage earners...we need ALL income strata workers and our laws are already structured toward that end. It would be akin to "Cutting off our Noses to Spite our Faces" to simply shut the doors on our border...We Need More Immigration.
