I was passionate about politics once and looking back at 77 it all seems entertaining at best.
I passed out pro Kennedy pamphlets on the streets of Salt Lakes City as a Catholic teenager, I protested at the 1968 Dem convention and ran from
Mayor Daley’s police., I went door to door for Jimmy Carter against the Hitler of his day (Ronald Reagan), I voted enthusiastically for that Blue Dog Dem, Bill Clinton, and I pulled the lever with hope for Obama.
Today it amused me how incredibly naive I was about the underlying political process.
