I file this under Rule #16: The Expert Threshold
You make a large number of false claims which at the time are clearly recognized as politically motivated.
Then add in people with a grudge who were fired(and a motive to to get attention/position/power/money.
Then hold up guys that with a title that gives gravitas (everyone in DC knows that after you add beyond your second star as a general, you’ve gone into politics).
You don’t quote the generals who support Trump, just the one who was fired for trying to bully his policy using the media.
And you quote a hard core liberal general who committed treason by making military plans with our enemy behind his president’s back.
You then take the smalgam of falsehoods and say,
“There is too much there, they can’t ALL be wrong” when every single one of them was preselected for a reason.
