Is this a men only forum and if so why?
Notre Dame has been co-ed for over half a century.
My guess is that we primarily attract posters because of our football team... and... behind closed doors... most women could care less about a sport celebrating male toxicity and perhaps latent homosexuality.

As mentioned elsewhere in this thread there was clear evidence of women posting in the 'Open', but
you'd be hard pressed to find any now. Given the overt misogyny displayed here over the last few years it's no mystery as to "Why". And this is a real shame since the women admitted to ND are of extremely high intelligence, and most of the issues we discuss impact them as much, or more, than us...we need to get their perspective...and having a more 'Open' and respectful environment would IMO go a long way toward that end...agree?

I know of one female graduate of Notre Dame who's voice should be heard on this Forum...
...and I doubt she's the only one who could add value to our discussions...see her commentary in the attached link. You may not agree with her, but her's and other female voices, should be heard...and btw, this year's ND Valedictorian (Isabela Tasende) is a woman.
We NEED the voices and opinions of Notre Dame women...let's make them feel welcome.

opinion that you think having no ND women participating in non-football discussions...say, like Abortion...or Un-wanted pregnancies...or Child Care Credits...etc....is just fine with you...what could they possibly add to your knowledge base?

Again...this a Forum operating under the name of the University of Notre Dame...a Co-Educational
institution with half of its graduates being female...and we discuss all types of issues that affect everyone...including women...YET, there are no women participating in those discussions. This is ridiculous, and should be remedied, since there is absolutely no doubt that they care about such issues and have the capacity and willingness to add very intelligent perspectives.
I'd expect a scholarly person like yourself to be doing all he could to make sure their voices are heard...yet you don't...why is that?

Men & women have different interests.
My wife watches college football with me, and we might make it a full Saturday of football if all our alma maters play, along with the schools of our children. But, the absolute last thing in the world she would do is join an online football forum, and debate politics with people online.
Way back when, there used to be a "LadyIrish" - then Chestertonlep sent her some D picks and scared
her off.

We've had women posters on here over the years.
IrishKel (still occasionally on NDN), NDHoops, BBW92 (yes, that was her handle), LadyIrish (a favorite of many), IrishToo (delusional family member of Ronnie Rodamer), Grannie95 (Ian Williams' grandmother). Heck, at one point the legendary racist psycho MKAllen's wife ("Barb") showed up to defend her husband's honor.
None were directly chased off for being female. They probably just had things that interested them more than N.D. football to spend their online time following.
