Articulating logical objections to Trump's policies is entirely sane and reasonable. TDS sufferers rarely do that. Instead, they offer temper tantrums, endless catastrophizing, ludicrous comparisons to actual murderers of tens of millions, justifications for ending friendships and even familial relationships, denunciations of half of the country as inbred inferiors, and excitement at the shooting of Trump. Forget about therapy or drugs, they just need to grow up. Sometimes you lose. Sometimes your guy loses. Sometimes you have to admit you were wrong. None of those things are big deals unless you choose to make them into big deals. They choose their rage and suffering. Or, maybe more accurately, they chose their rage and suffering for a time, before it was integrated into their personality. The Trump Administration had several glaring instances of incompetency. I wanted DeSantis because he is a committed conservative and his competency is the reason so many lefties despise. He actually puts the ideas they hate into action. So much of what Trump says, from the wall on down, never materializes, and then he does things like fires Jeff Sessions, pushes and signs the First Step Act, and says we may need lockdowns and keeps Fauci around, which DeSantis never would have done. That said, Trump is manifestly preferable to Harris, who is associated with all the incompetence above, but is also unusually lazy, vapid, and someone who isn't taken seriously by anyone but committed partisans. Her polling among independents on this count is abysmal.

I explained some examples of the Trump Administration's incompetence. I have never turned a blind eye to it and wrote about my intense dislike of those moves here on numerous occasions. To continue with that particular example, I remember coming home that day, turning on the TV, and seeing Afghans hanging onto our planes and falling to their deaths, later followed by the DOD Spokesman responding to a question about Americans left behind that they had their chance to get out and did not make it. My first thought was that I had never seen this kind of incompetence from any administration in my lifetime, and then I also thought that these were a bunch of weak, cowardly men who lacked honor. I was right, of course. We've talked about weak men here a lot lately. That sort of disgraceful behavior is part-and-parcel with weak men.
