America is a moderate country.
When you elevate more liberal candidates, you generally lose.
Case in point, my state's dem party suffered brutal losses in the 2022 congressional election. Last night, they won those seats back, and then some. Do you know how? By running moderate dems.
I was very disappointed when Harris was given the ticket, and now we see the result. Next time, give us a choice.
Fear and anger simply won
1) The Dem party has gone far, far left and has pushed moderate Dems to the curbside. You can't name any because they have been weeded out.
2) Trump didn't win on rhetoric. He won on policy and performance (voters had a direct comparison of both candidates).
Harris tried to run on "I'm not Trump" but said nothing about policy other than to flip flop on issues to get votes. People knew she wasn't sincere.
The single biggest issues were 1) Inflation and 2) the Border. Trump hammered on these issues with specific solutions. Harris spent most of her time pushing abortion.
