As much as I hoped he’d lose, I accept the outcome of the election. My hope is that he will embrace democracy, defend our shores, improve the economy, and promote unity. I also hope that he continues to support the Ukraine against the evil empire. God bless America!
1 - Fix the debt situation or get us on a path for it to be clearly resolved. This will have to be multi-pronged: As Chris likes to point out, we will need to tax a bit more to do this, but we need to significantly reduce spend, as well. Neither will work alone.
2 - Get immigration and the border under sustainable control.
3 - Mend some fences. Let's argue and debate like it's the 80's and 90's, not these last couple of decades. Find roles in the government for some trustworthy, moderate democrats.
4 - Accelerate the path to nuclear energy.
you are acknowledging that when you say that the cure has to be multi-pronged.
I heard some economists talking about this, and really, the only solution is Reaganesque....producing our way out of it HAS to be the biggest prong (govt deregulation and renewing the Trump corporate tax rates being the primary stimulus to business).
Another oft overlooked option is selling some of the federal land that the govt owns (only to Americans please). The govt owns about 30% of all of the land in our country.
I like your other points...and in fact nuclear could be a source of economic and job growth.
let's keep these in mind as his term unfolds...
I’d be pleasantly surprised if #3 comes to fruition.
