Whether both sides like it or not, we're moving to a system with a greater deference and differences at a state level. Ultimately, this is good because it will allow people to pay attention locally and vote for what they think is important.
Allowing centralization of issues at a Federal level on things like gun control and abortion that don't really matter to most people, rather than focusing on the failing education system, taxes and jobs allows a small group in Washington to control the narrative and debate.
