No, not really. Gaetz seems kind of bufoonish. Regardless, the look on Hostin's face was very funny.
[Edit: To be clear, Gaetz is probably an improvement over the current guy. The only reason I say "probably" is because I don't really know much about Gaetz. I know Garland is not big on American Freedoms.]

The alleged victim claimed to have been paid by venmo/apple pay (both were mentioned as possibilities). The records will either corroborate her claims (in which case Gaetz must go since there is no credible reason why he would be paying this young girl), or there will be no corroborating records which will confirm that she lied. If she lied, every R should be all in on Gaetz to clean out the cesspool that Obama has created in the DOJ over the past 16 years.
It does seem odd that even the Biden?Harris DOJ chose not to bring charges against Gaetz. This may a big clue as to what is really there.
I am sure that details will leak....but the witness accounts are easily manufactured as we know from Kavanaugh hearings. It is likely that Dems will play this up to smear Gaetz even if they know that there is no evidence The truth will be revealed by whether there is evidence as claimed by the accuser. You'd think anyone with a credible legal background would know not to presume guilt before knowing the facts. TDS is a real mental disorder.

Setting that aside, I can't decide on Gaetz. He was quite disruptive of the Republicans in the House...and AG is such a lightning rod of a job. Then again, disruption of the Swamp is what we are looking for. So, I'm willing to sit here and see what happens. Either way, he is better than Garland.
