I've been fighting this battle for nearly 50 years...DJT had better give Nuclear Power all the
support it needs, and not back off from what Biden's done with his bipartisan legislation...we've got to get to that source ASAP...but realistically it won't likely happen until close to the 2040-50 time frame. Meanwhile we judiciously use what we have (and import some)...meaning decreasing amounts of Oil and Gas, plus wind, solar and hydro where their use is appropriate...i.e. where Variability isn't a problem...so that we can save as much FFs as possible (for ALL those uses mentioned in the video). As for transmission, we need coordinated planning with the end goal in mind (i.e. Nuclear as our "Grid Level" source)
That "Drill, Baby, Drill" only meme heads us in the wrong direction...especially when you add in the reality of Global Warming/Climate Change.

I’m all for generating power with nukes. But we still need carbon to sustain the modern worldl.
By the way… I worker for Bechtel building nukes before I went to law school. We overreacted to Three Mile Island.
Good to know (re: Bechtel)...it's the "Carbon in Everything" that drives me on this issue...and of
course the need for "BTU Slaves" instead of people to power and heat the world's population...it was obvious back in the day of Three Mile Island, but the issues of Safety, Proliferation and "Waste" were not sufficiently advanced at that time....although, my first project was on a Fast Breeder Reactor...a predecessor to the 'GE/Hitachi/Terrapower "Natrium Reactor" being constructed in Wyoming as we speak...sure has taken awhile ("Breeding" is a related issue for another thread).
