Lavrov reminds me of another world class diplomat from Russia, legendary Gromyko who is extremely knowledgeable with amazing memory. We grateful Americans, not ungrateful one, forever are thankful for Gromyko who basically single-handedly moved UN headquarter to US from Europe at the time Europe and even US want Geneva to be UN location. Gromyko fairly and rightly pointed out US is the best place to host UN headquarter. Lavrov is Gromyko of 21st century.
