Here's some background data from John's Hopkins over the last month regarding ICU beds in use...
State.....(6/20/21).....7/25/21)
----------------------------------
FLA.........428............1,265....
MI...........133..............67.......
Others,
NY..........202.............159.....
TX.........535.............1,182...
These data sets are undeniably "cherry picked"...but not 'fudged'.

For real... you take one state that is the most visited state during the summer months of any in the country and another that is essentially a country of it own and is dealing with an absolute disaster on the border due to poor leadership at the federal level and those are your examples? give me a break. You want to fix the Texas numbers, close the border.
have friends that live in Florida who 'leave' the state from June through September to be in the much more comfortable environs of Lake Tahoe...I get that you're searching for a way to excuse DeSantis, but you need to find a more logical train of thought that explains why his state is experiencing a surge in COVID hospitalizations while others are seeing decreases.
Your deflection to the border issue is another sign that you haven't been able to answer this thread's question...nonetheless, since you are deeply concerned about that topic, I've attached some background material for you...if you can't access it, I'll cut and paste as much of it as I can.

Try driving I-75 south or I-95 south on a weekend day between June and September

Of course, away from both party's campaign, I meant.
We just came off an election year and next year will be mid term, then presidential campaign... The board can't be in campaign mood every year. Of course politics was, is and will always be our biggest topic. We certainly will continue to talk about politics everyday But as political junkies, we all know 90% campaign rhetoric are BS. We need a break from it. Let's resume our campaign trash talk next year.

You have opined with regularity that FLA under DeSantis was the model for dealing with COVID-19...as opposed to the leadership of your own governor...so tell us, why is COVID ICU bed usage rising quickly in Florida, but going down in Michigan, during the same most recent time period? (this should be an exercise in creativity).
You are not worth the effort.
learn what it means...then apply it.
