This cannot be a “mistake” since he was clearly accepted on record.
This is a liberal flourishing in the Obama/Biden woke military/academia who thought they would be an”anonymous source” trying to do a Deep State torpedo of Trump’s nominee for Sec of Defense.
This potentially is a military crime and needs to be investigated and potentially prosecuted fully given the gravity of the potential impact. It also is a violation of code for West Point and at minimum should lead to a dishonorable discharge for the West Point source.
More Obama/ Biden dirty pool. This is why voters chose to oust the losers.

The Resist movement is alive and well.
Many people will have to be fired before the Executive Branch stops going rogue, and again becomes what it was intended to be, an arm of the Executive.
Professional journalism died a long time ago. Professional civil service has also been dying. We have a rogue ghost government. Each instance of it that comes to light will be denied as a simple one-off by the right. It is the aggregate of cases which demonstrates that this exists (along with the occasional secret author editorial that confirms it, and the random whistleblower who immediately gets personally attacked).
It is a big job to clean up this mess. Trump is the only guy who could possibly accomplish it.
