Happy Birthday to Robert Duvall. 94 today and one of the great actors in my lifetime.
He was awesome in Apocalypse Now and delivers a historical line on the beach but my favorite is The Great Santini.

Mine is Tender Mercies.
He's fantastic. An understated performance in an understated role. What makes the film great is that at every point it could go with Hollywood convention, it does the opposite.
