“Donald Trump the ordinary citizen, Donald Trump the criminal defendant” would not be entitled to the protections of the presidency, Justice Merchan asserts.
The Court’s bottom line is that Trump’s status as a President Elect shields him from the seriousness of the verdict.
But, he will assume office wearing the scarlet letter “F” for Felon.

Not a single person not named Donald Trump would be charged, put on trial or convicted of this offense. Andrew Cuomo and many others have said this. It's the "Three Felonies a Day" situation of targeted politically motivated prosecution. It's "lawfare".
So, getting back to why you lost: a majority of the American people are fed up with being gaslighted. They don't care that Trump was convicted in a sham trial, they don't care that he is a shitty human being, they don't care that he lies, because the alternative is demonstrably worse.

You seem quite upset that you abused the US justice system to prosecute a political opponent, and it didn't work. You should be upset that anyone can abuse the justice system like you did.
Jim acts like he doesn't understand the meaning of common words. And the funniest part is that it might not be an act!
by a jury of his peers - that's one whole item.
He has been fined (and should have been criminally charged to use your thoughts - everyone else
would have been criminally charged) for fraud in university scam, charity scam
sexual abuse, all of which would have permanently removed him from consideration for the job of president
of the United States and you ninnies are out their arguing he's our idea of a president. Not to mention
the hypocrisy of your statement when someone who doesn't wear your coat of arms in politics that
you don't like is a criminal, you're all over that calling for jail time, impeachment and so on.

They keep getting it wrong and you keep paying for it. What does that make you?

sentenced to prison for doing DJT's bidding. The Attorney for the SDNY at that time, Geoffrey Berman, wrote a book explaining in detail how "Main Justice"...i.e. Trump's AG...subsequently had all references to "Individual-1" in the charging document eliminated. That "Individual-1" was known to be Donald Trump...the one who ordered Cohen to pay Stormy Daniels,...then wrote each and every check to Cohen.
Without DJT's "Lawfare", the SDNY would have pursued him, convicted him, and sentenced him to even more prison time than Cohen. Justice demanded that this case be brought against a true FELON...and Bragg, thankfully did just that.
Not sure why you support such trash...since he's not only a Felon, but a Rapist...a Serial Fraud who grifts his own supporters (Trump U., Trump Foundation)...and to top it off, an Insurrectionist against our Constitutional Democracy ("War Room" at the Willard Hotel prior to Jan. 6th, with Oath Keepers and Proud Boys leaders there who subsequently pleaded guilty to "Seditious Conspiracy"). Any ONE of these behaviors would end the political career of a Presidential candidate, but for a few percent of the voting population not having the moral/ethical fiber to care.
Intelligent, no baggage and married to a minority. Make sure Washington DC picks your candidate again.
...now as for the future, it's a safe bet that the country will be worse off domestically and internationally with him as President. Republican Congresspersons and Senators sense this too and have their eyes on being re-elected, so it'll be interesting to see how much they support him. As for J.D. Vance, he's Peter Thiel's puppet and therefore a tool of the "Broligarchs". How do you feel about the U.S. ditching its Constitution in favor of a Plutocracy?

And he’s not the first person prosecuted for falsifying business records.
And no, the Manhattan or federal prosecutions against Trump is not the reason he won the election.
But since the "sanctity of the jury" is so sacred to you, I guess you're fine with him spending 27 of the best years of his life in prison for something he didn't do.

The defense was that the conduct wasn’t criminal.
Convict Trump is entitled to his appeal rights. He has a decent chance as the Manhattan case was tried prior to the Supreme Court immunity decision. Two White House staff/witnesses testified in the prosecution’s case.

His crackhead, whore loving son.
logical, Mark. When a randomly selected jury, that the Defense can challenge during selection, comes to a unanimous decision in a matter of hours...side with them...especially when documented financial records and a first hand witness (Michael Cohen) are involved.

Cohen in prison...DJT was "Individual-1" who ordered Cohen to fraudulently pay Stormy Daniels.

...given his affection for, or subservience to, Vladimir Putin, it's definitely an open question...or am I going too fast for you ;-)
The only one who will remember this meaningless conversation past tomorrow is you. That in itself is pretty damn funny. I have no idea what you're disputing and neither do you.
and accept it. Try and enjoy the next 4 years, I'm going to.
his Malignant Narcissism forced him to appeal to the Supreme Court!...that borders on insanity, which is why every reasonable person in the U.S. should oppose him...and we will.
It's life imitating art, it's the sopranos or the godfather.

But I agree that the Unconditional Discharge was the only appropriate sentence, given the importance of a President’s need to govern, an enormous power bestowed upon Trump by the American people thru their votes cast in November.
He is not above the law - if no other person would have received a different sentencing then
I'll agree to it. Other than that,...!
That's your hero, buddy.

You can make the argument that the criminal convictions (plus all of Trump’s prior wrongdoing) carried negligible weight with the majority of the electorate, but it is disrespectful to the jurors who swore an oath, heard the case, and found Trump guilty to deny their verdict.

you're much better than this...I've seen your earlier posts...this is not the real 'Cheeks'...hope you can get things together.
It only seems irrational to you because you are self deluded.

we'll see who's on the truthful side. I've consistently called for others to challenge me...but with facts and substance...not just personal opinion. Are you confident enough to do that?
had already passed bipartisan Infrastructure and CHIPS Bills that even Republicans took credit for...oversaw reduction in COVID produced Inflation...provided critical support and aid for Ukraine, etc., etc....i.e. he was masterfully fulfilling his role as President...then "The Debate" hit in June, and he did the right thing dropping out after that...which I supported.
You may take credit for 20/20 Hindsight, but I don't.

Shouldn't a jury have heard the evidence?
It doesn’t mean that the jury’s verdict was meritless or that Hunter’s guilty plea to tax charges was invalid.
It simply means that Hunter’s criminal wrongdoing has been formally forgiven by the President of the United States.
Trump may exercise that same power given to him in our most recent election for those who pled guilty or were found guilty in connection with January 6th. See attached.
Contrary to cheeks’ foolhardiness, the outcome of our November election doesn’t mean the January 6th rioters were unfairly or unlawfully convicted.

prosecution for Hunter.
What that has to do with Trump's conviction, only you would know.
