Trump knows what he’s doing. He knows how to leverage the US’s influence for the benefit of the country (esp when the countries being leveraged are taking advantage of the US).
Expect Canada comments to yield similar results at no cost to the US and from Mexico as well. The tough public talk by these other leaders does not match the behind the scenes negotiations that they are frantically seeking.
Expect the same thing with tariff's. The only tarriffs imposed will be on the recalcitrant foreign leader’s, and it won’t take long for those to end when those leaders see Trump does not make idle threats.
The leadership vacuum of the past 4 years is just about over.
