I'd say re establishing the nuclear family & gender is critical to getting "back on track" and
clearly, the majority of Americans agree (the support for banning this nonsense was in the high 70%'s.
The answer to Q's question is in that high public support. The R congress is starting with an easy win....and getting Dems who oppose to put their names on their votes.
