My one and only time ice fishing lasted 10 minutes, and I loved fishing.

You need to try it with a tent, a propane heater, a bottle of bourbon and an aqua vu camera.
If any of those items are missing, it sucks.

Tent, some adults may have had bourbon I suspect in retrospect, it was 1969 so no cameras, and no heater.
Have open ice fished later as an adult with my kids in Boy Scouts……wouldn’t ever drink around the kids, but watching the ice build up on the line was kind of interesting between the pain.
