The point was to preempt Baron from suggesting that the judge was “a liberal” judge with an anti Trump agenda — something Baron would typically assert.
Exactly what I said would happen. SCOTUS will decide.
And we have multiple examples of judges who deceived Reagan on their philosophies.
Thus, who appointed the judge isn’t relevant often. In fact, they picked this judge because they knew he would side with those lib AG’s who brought the suit.

No, this is not an example of a federal judge “who deceived Reagan on his philosophy.”
Rather, it is an example of a judge applying the law and Constitution to a no brainer legal question.
It was so bad that the judge challenged the integrity and standing among the bar of the DOJ lawyer who sought to defend Trump’s order.

You fail to acknowledge that Trump violated his oath by issuing the order in the first place.
Whether the litigation winds up before Supreme Court doesn’t legitimize Trump’s order, any more than Trump kidnapping, raping, and murdering a child, and claiming presidential immunity. The latter case may also wind up before Supreme Court.
Biden issued at least 6 orders declared unconstitutional by the SCOTUS but you never accused him of
betraying his oath of office.
