with impoverished foreigners who eat up precious public services.
to get a green card?
root of the problem...and all this "Open Borders" screaming is "Political Kabuki Theater" to hide the facts that a) we NEED those immigrants for Agriculture, Construction, Hospitality Industries, as well as many other services...throughout the country and not just in Texas. Denying those people a fair income is wrong and just perpetuates a veritable "Slave Economy". Also lost in the debate is the fact that those immigrants are truly a Net Financial Benefit to the U.S. Economy
If you don't agree with this contention...Challenge me...that's the way to establishing the Truth in this and any other issue.
BTW, regarding associated issues of Drug Trafficking and Violent Crime...the Biden administration's bipartisan Senate Bill funded 100+ High Tech Scanners for rapid identification of Fentanyl carrying vehicles crossing our border (the prevalent means of transport)...and consistent data shows that Undocumented Immigrants have a LOWER rate of violent crime than our native population...which makes sense, given the vast majority of them don't want to bring attention to themselves and risk deportation.
Bottom Line...that claim of an "Infestation" of undocumented immigrants needing public funding is the creation of improper and illegal scheming by employers...and legislators...in many industries. Let's knock it off and do the right thing...for the Country, as well as the immigrants...freeing us up to move on with more pressing needs, like establishing true "Energy Independence" and National Security.

So, are blacks in general anti-immigrant because they are inherent bigots (as you asked)? No.
But, the poor and lower middle class, regardless of race (and those who sympathize with their plight), would naturally be more anti-illegal-immigrant.
[Speaking for myself, not Curly of couse. But, I have seen black citizens embracing the deportations on the news. But that is anecdotal; not sure if a poll has been run on this.]
inherently anti immigrant. Not all blacks are poor or lower class.
What I was actually getting to is historically immigrants (mostly white Catholics by the way) and native blacks have often been at odds which has at times played into the nativist narrative.
I agree not all blacks are poor or lower class. Your turn to shuffle, I guess. I never said they were. Why did you automatically assume poor meant black? The venn diagram circles of "black" and "poor or lower middle class" are not exclusive of each other, but they are also not identical. Not sure why you thought they were being equated when I said they weren't. Not only did I never drew a connection that you imply...but I said "regardless of race"...and I included people who are not poor or lower middle class, but who are sympathetic to them. You are reaching here to pick a fight that we need not have.
I said no to any inherent bias. But, I tried to point out that people do look after their own economic interests, and enforcing the law helps the poor and lower middle class in this case, so some blacks (and some whites) will be anti-illegal-immigrant...just not inherently so.
If you look at our political history, the immigrants/Catholics generally voted D with the white South, while the blacks generally where they could vote, voted R.
Wanted Curl’s thoughts but guess I got yours. Lucky me.
