...you know...the same sort of folks you find in the CDC and NIH...found a vaccine for smallpox and later gathered together through the WHO to eradicate it worldwide...the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that in the interest of public health, vaccinations could be mandated. Now it's true that final approval for the COVID-19 vaccines has not yet been granted, thus restricting any mandates, the trials that preceded the Emergency Use Authorizations and the subsequent performances of those medications among hundreds of millions of people, clearly show that the public health would be well served by requiring students to be vaccinated...for the sake of those under 12 years old who can't be vaccinated yet (hopefully, in the Dec./Jan. timeframe)...all students should wear masks.

Again...the CDC is made of the same type of dedicated medical professionals as those a century ago...always has been. They have rigid rules they follow, even for emergency use...e.g. everyone whats the under-12's to get vaccinated now (including the ID Docs with kids of their own), but they're following their protocols.

Not sure what some posters think would be a better solution...ban Emergency Use Authorizations...never allow new technology to be employed...and wait for however long it takes to fully approve a vaccine that uses only the old, tried and true technology...while twiddling their thumbs as hospitals are overrun and refrigerated semi-trucks fill up their parking lots?

in terms of U.S. cases, hospitalizations and deaths?

This is the ninth of the regular round-ups of Covid vaccine safety reports and news compiled by a group of medical doctors who are monitoring developments but prefer to remain anonymous in the current climate (find the eighth one here). By no means is this part of an effort to generate alarm about the vaccines or dissuade anyone from getting inoculated. It should be read in conjunction with the Daily Sceptic‘s other posts on vaccines, which include both encouraging and not so encouraging developments. At the Daily Sceptic we report all the news about the vaccines whether positive or negative and give no one advice about whether they should or should not take them. Unlike with lockdowns, we are neither pro-vaccine nor anti-vaccine; we see our job as reporting the facts, not advocating for or against a particular policy. The vaccine technology is novel and the vaccines have not yet fully completed their trials, which is why they’re in use under temporary and not full market authorisation. This has been done on account of the emergency situation and the trial data was largely encouraging on both efficacy and safety. The U.K. VITT Organ Donor Study Group has published a report of an analysis of organ donation and transplantation from U.K. donors with VITT (blood clots) to understand the implications. Moderna (1.1 million first doses) has one Yellow Card in 123 doses, 2.9 adverse reactions per card. Deaths: 1 in 157,143 (7 deaths). (This is a high rate of Yellow Card reports but lower fatal reports compared to the other two vaccines.)

don't you think? The U.S. doesn't exactly have a perfect track record on vaccines either; yes, there are a lot of good ones, but we have history of catastrophic bad ones as well.
