No deflection...per the linked Guardian article to Cheeks, other Media subscriptions were purchased
and I find it hard to believe these are the only times in our nation's history that this has happened. What definitely didn't happen is USAID funding Politico...those subscriptions appear to be for the entire government...Heck, in the business world, Corporations provide employees with Corporate subscriptions to the Wall Street Journal...or in my case "Aviation Week"...or "Nuclear Times".

A business can do whatever they want, what a stupid false equivalency.
The fact is our government must cut spending. Social Security will have to reduce benefits in 2033, for example. This is an easy one to cut, it affects nothing as far as providing services.
Our government needs to sharply reduce its Deficit...Spending cuts are only half the Solution...we
also need to stop cutting our income by giving Corporations and the Wealthiest Americans $2T tax breaks they don't need and don't invest...in fact, due to the urgency of the matter, those who are already well off can certainly pay at least the percentage of income in taxes that YOU pay.
You see the problem here?
That's a different issue, entire tax code needs to be ripped out and replaced.

That is THE Issue...our Deficit...and there are TWO Levers...Revenue and Expenses...and BOTH need
to be addressed. btw, CUTTING our Revenue by not fairly taxing the wealthiest and putting the burden on everyone else is NOT good Financial Management. Wake Up to reality.
