Do you know how hard it is to implement a coordinated defensive zone system in 48 hours? I'm guessing the US laid the groundwork for it during the summer camp, but from center ice to about 5 feet inside the US blue line, the US completely clogged the area, negating Canada's speed and offense. The one breakdown they had, McJesus exploited. Right on cue though, Binnington let in a softie to offset it. Other than that, this was the US's night.
First period was even.
Second was all US.
Third was the system I described above.
Well done. Hopefully we get a rematch in the final.
Seriously, Canada has is probably better at men's soccer than the USA at the moment.
