Vance was right to bring this issue up with the still repressive Euro left. But instead of criticizing them he should have extolled the manifold societal benefits of free spaach.
I am more pro pure free speech than the Euros. I do understand the krauts position on far right
parties given their history. But to say it’s a bigger threat to Europe than Putin or Zi is just J-Dumbo dumb. Every Western democracy is a more open and free society than those that this arsehole and Orange support.

"Lochner Era" of Laissez-Faire economics in which corporate power quashes any semblance of power for the average citizen. This of course generates enormous frustration for the large majority of Americans who are treated as little more than 'Chattel' who are then distracted by images...and fears...of others, not like them, who are accused of being responsible for their condition (e.g. Immigrants).
If MAGAs could just see 'behind the curtain', they'd be voting Democrat in droves...but the Oligarchs (really the GOP at its core) know this...they can't really expose their true objective, so they constantly distract with emotional, but ultimately inconsequential or unsolvable issues like LGBTQ+, Abortion or Immigration. To wit...LGBTQ+ has been and always will be a part of the Human Condition...Abortion will always exist, Illegally, or Legally, so long as forced and coerced pregnancies occur...and Immigration will continue, since even the Oligarchs need such low cost labor to support our GDP....and their profits.
Exactly, they gin up social issues that elicit emotional responses to get the electorate to vote
against its own interest. Curly is a great example. Knew he would be less than happy when he saw what trumpism was gonna actually really be about after he got in. Yet due to woke and “genitalia mutilation” he supported the Orange creature. Read the Andrew Sullivan piece that captures it well. He’s both anti woke and anti trans surgery on minors as am I.

I’ll answer. Of course, but not because of her policy views. I voted against the disaster
that has now started and which will continue for the next 4 years. I have posted that here repeatedly. I have voted that way for the last 3 elections. Last time I actually voted for someone, rather than just against the other candidate was 2012.
Read the Sullivan piece. It explains it perfectly. As does Matt Labash, neither of which are liberals.
