I could live with Professor Hanson's strategy for resolving the Ukrainian situation.. but can Putin?

I feel the people of Ukraine are willing to give up territory for security.

I also feel this is the last thing on Putin's mind.

Unless Ukrainian culture and independence is crushed he has lost.

He never says anything about Putin's long term economic issues.

Putin needs to have his country in a permanent war to justify his repression and the misery of his people.
