As a GOP-ed Senate Intel Committee later found, there was probable cause (see Manafort/Kilimnik) to
investigate the Trump campaign...they would be derelict in their duty to the country if there was no file open on DJT....actually, anyone who applies for a security clearance...and has numerous dealings with Russia, or China, etc....much less running for President....is going to be investigated, and I suspect there was already a file on Trump at least a decade prior.
Hope this claim is true and that our FBI wasn't sitting on their hands instead of actively doing their job protecting us.
