I'm on record here acknowledging JB's poor performance during that debate...but not a sign of
dementia...just a natural loss of stamina due to his age...and I agreed with him dropping out of the race.
For over twenty years, my wife and I, along with many other couples and their kids have visited nursing homes at Christmas and seen those who are simply old, and those who are afflicted with dementia...there is a definable difference. Joe Biden doesn't have dementia.
As for Trump...his Off-the-Charts Malignant Narcissism causes him to constantly have to deal with massive insecurities, which he tries to fend off with rambling speeches that can involve all sorts of perceived threats to his "Image" as a "Stable Genius"...hence the wild and crazy "MIT, Sharks and EV Batteries" speech. In short, as Rex Tillerson, former CEO of ExxonMobil, said...DT is a "Moron".

Why didn't you link to that opinion piece about his mental decline not being true again instead of the SOTU? Seems much more appropriate than the speech does in order to refute what Tapper is reportedly trying to say in his book.

I don't hear you criticizing the SOTU speech...with good reason, since there was NO
sign, whatsoever, of dementia...note especially JB's off-script back and forth with Republicans voicing their objections...he handled them expertly and effectively...even with appropriate humor. Someone with dementia doesn't fall off a cliff that quickly a few months later. The explanation of fatigue is much more credible.

I did watch the debate, which started at 9pm. Apparently that was at the same time that he gave the SOTU speech. That wasn't fatigue, but I would be surprised if you actually questioned the company line, ever.
My post was noting that you have posted that same speech as a rebuttal a numerous amount of times. You also posted it and didn't actually respond to the point of the thread, which is that someone is writing a book about them covering up Biden's decline mentally after participating in it. You then ask me to talk about something that has nothing to do with what was started in the thread. I've noticed that when others do this to you in threads you start, you chastise them and ask them to stay on point. Try doing the same.

How much more damage this is going to do to the public perception of the "news" media. They wonder why so many people are going to podcasts rather than listening to the news. It's because no one trusts the news anymore.
I've seen compilations people have made where they show multiple news agencies in different cities all reciting the exact same lines about whatever event is being talked about. Not just the same general idea, like "this was bad!," but the exact same verbatim message about the event.
It's rather Orwellian when you see it.
